Joel 2:9-11

New International Version

⁹ They rush upon the city;
    they run along the wall.
They climb into the houses;^(A)
    like thieves they enter through the windows.^(B)

¹⁰ Before them the earth shakes,^(C)
    the heavens tremble,^(D)
the sun and moon are darkened,^(E)
    and the stars no longer shine.^(F)
11 The Lord^(G) thunders^(H)
    at the head of his army;^(I)
his forces are beyond number,
    and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the Lord is great;^(J)
    it is dreadful.
    Who can endure it?^(K)
