Joel 2:7-11

⁷Like warriors they charge;
    like soldiers they scale the wall.
They march each on his way;
    they do not swerve from their paths.
⁸They do not jostle one another;
    ^(A)each marches in his path;
they burst through the weapons
    and are not halted.
⁹^(B)They leap upon the city,
    they run upon the walls,
^(C)they climb up into the houses,
    ^(D)they enter through the windows ^(E)like a thief.

¹⁰^(F)The earth quakes before them;
    the heavens tremble.
^(G)The sun and the moon are darkened,
    and the stars withdraw their shining.
¹¹^(H)The Lord utters his voice
    before ^(I)his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
    ^(J)he who executes his word is powerful.
^(K)For the day of the Lord is ^(L)great and very awesome;
    ^(M)who can endure it?
