¹⁹ It ranks first among the works of God,^(A)
    yet its Maker^(B) can approach it with his sword.^(C)

the Lord will punish with his sword^(B)—
    his fierce, great and powerful sword—
Leviathan^(C) the gliding serpent,^(D)
    Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster^(E) of the sea.

²⁴ How many are your works,^(A) Lord!
    In wisdom you made^(B) them all;
    the earth is full of your creatures.^(C)

¹² If he does not relent,^(A)
    he^[a] will sharpen his sword;^(B)
    he will bend and string his bow.^(C)

³³ Nothing on earth is its equal^(A)—
    a creature without fear.

¹³ By his breath the skies^(A) became fair;
