26 Pero Job intervino:
2 «¡Tú sí que ayudas al débil!
¡Tú sí que salvas al que no tiene fuerza!
3 ¡Qué consejos sabes dar al ignorante!
¡Qué gran discernimiento has demostrado!
4 ¿Quién te ayudó a pronunciar tal discurso?
¿Qué espíritu ha hablado por tu boca?»
Bildad reanuda su discurso
5 «Un estremecimiento invade a los muertos,
a los que habitan debajo de las aguas.
6 Ante Dios, queda el sepulcro al descubierto;
nada hay que oculte a este destructor.
7 Dios extiende el cielo[a] sobre el vacío;
sobre la nada tiene suspendida la tierra.
8 En sus nubes envuelve las aguas,
pero las nubes no revientan con su peso.
9 Cubre la faz de la luna llena
al extender sobre ella sus nubes.
10 Dibuja el horizonte sobre la faz de las aguas
para dividir la luz de las tinieblas.
11 Aterrados por su reprensión,
tiemblan los pilares de los cielos.
12-13 Con un soplo suyo se despejan los cielos;
con su poder Dios agita el mar.
Con su sabiduría descuartizó a Rahab;
con su mano ensartó a la serpiente escurridiza.
14 ¡Y esto es solo una muestra de sus obras,[b]
un murmullo que logramos escuchar!
¿Quién podrá comprender su trueno poderoso?»

Job proclama la soberanía de Dios
26 Respondió Job, y dijo:
2 ¿En qué ayudaste al que no tiene poder?
¿Cómo has amparado al brazo sin fuerza?
3 ¿En qué aconsejaste al que no tiene ciencia,
Y qué plenitud de inteligencia has dado a conocer?
4 ¿A quién has anunciado palabras,
Y de quién es el espíritu que de ti procede?
5 Las sombras tiemblan en lo profundo,
Los mares y cuanto en ellos mora.
6 El Seol está descubierto delante de él, y el Abadón no tiene cobertura.
7 Él extiende el norte sobre vacío,
Cuelga la tierra sobre nada.
8 Ata las aguas en sus nubes,
Y las nubes no se rompen debajo de ellas.
9 Él encubre la faz de su trono,
Y sobre él extiende su nube.
10 Puso límite a la superficie de las aguas,
Hasta el fin de la luz y las tinieblas.
11 Las columnas del cielo tiemblan,
Y se espantan a su reprensión.
12 Él agita el mar con su poder,
Y con su entendimiento hiere la arrogancia suya.
13 Su espíritu adornó los cielos;
Su mano creó la serpiente tortuosa.
14 He aquí, estas cosas son solo los bordes de sus caminos;
¡Y cuán leve es el susurro que hemos oído de él!
Pero el trueno de su poder, ¿quién lo puede comprender?

3 ¡Qué bien sabes dar consejos
e instruir al ignorante!
4 ¿Con ayuda de quién has dicho esas palabras?
¿Quién te ha inspirado para hablar así?

5 Los muertos, que habitan el mar profundo,
tiemblan de miedo en el fondo del mar.
6 El sepulcro, reino de la muerte,
no encierra misterios para Dios.
7 Dios extendió el cielo sobre el vacío
y colgó la tierra sobre la nada.
8 Él encierra el agua en las nubes
sin que las nubes revienten con el peso;
9 oscurece la cara de la luna
cubriéndola con una nube;
10 ha puesto el horizonte del mar
como límite entre la luz y las tinieblas.
11 Cuando Dios amenaza, tiemblan de miedo
los montes en que se apoya el cielo.
12 Con su fuerza dominó al mar;
con su habilidad derrotó al monstruo Rahab.
13 Con su soplo dejó el cielo despejado;
con su mano mató a la serpiente escurridiza.
14 Y esto no es más que una parte de sus obras;
lo que hemos oído es apenas un murmullo.

26 But Iyov answered and said,
2 How hast thou helped him that is without ko’ach? How savest thou the zero’a that hath no oz (strength)?
3 How hast thou counseled him that hath no chochmah? And how hast thou plentifully declared the tushiyyah (efficient wisdom)?
4 To whom hast thou uttered words? And whose neshamah came from thee?
5 Dead things tremble from under the mayim, and the inhabitants thereof.
6 Sheol is naked before Him, and Avaddon hath no cover.
7 He stretcheth out the Tzafon over the tohu, and hangeth eretz upon nothing.
8 He bindeth up the mayim in His thick clouds; and the anan doeth not burst under them.
9 He covers the face of [His] kisse, and spreadeth His anan upon it.
10 He hath circled the horizon on the face of the mayim for a boundary between ohr and choshech.
11 The ammudim of Shomayim tremble and are aghast at His rebuke.
12 He divideth the yam with His ko’ach, and by His understanding He struck down Rahav.
13 By His Ruach He hath made fair Shomayim; His yad hath pierced the fleeing nachash.
14 Lo, these are but the ketzot of His ways, but how faint the davar we hear of Him. And the thunder of His gevurah who can understand?

26 Then Job replied:
2 “How you have helped the powerless!(A)
How you have saved the arm that is feeble!(B)
3 What advice you have offered to one without wisdom!
And what great insight(C) you have displayed!
4 Who has helped you utter these words?
And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?(D)
5 “The dead are in deep anguish,(E)
those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
6 The realm of the dead(F) is naked before God;
Destruction[a](G) lies uncovered.(H)
7 He spreads out the northern skies(I) over empty space;
he suspends the earth over nothing.(J)
8 He wraps up the waters(K) in his clouds,(L)
yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
9 He covers the face of the full moon,
spreading his clouds(M) over it.
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters(N)
for a boundary between light and darkness.(O)
11 The pillars of the heavens quake,(P)
aghast at his rebuke.
12 By his power he churned up the sea;(Q)
by his wisdom(R) he cut Rahab(S) to pieces.
13 By his breath the skies(T) became fair;
his hand pierced the gliding serpent.(U)
14 And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper(V) we hear of him!(W)
Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”(X)
