Job 29:7-17
New King James Version
7 “When I went out to the gate by the city,
When I took my seat in the open square,
8 The young men saw me and hid,
And the aged arose and stood;
9 The princes refrained from talking,
And (A)put their hand on their mouth;
10 The voice of nobles was hushed,
And their (B)tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.
11 When the ear heard, then it blessed me,
And when the eye saw, then it approved me;
12 Because (C)I delivered the poor who cried out,
The fatherless and the one who had no helper.
13 The blessing of a perishing man came upon me,
And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
14 (D)I put on righteousness, and it clothed me;
My justice was like a robe and a turban.
15 I was (E)eyes to the blind,
And I was feet to the lame.
16 I was a father to the poor,
And (F)I searched out the case that I did not know.
17 I broke (G)the fangs of the wicked,
And plucked the victim from his teeth.

1 Kings 21:11-15
New King James Version
11 So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. 12 (A)They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people. 13 And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels (B)witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, “Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” (C)Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died. 14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”
15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, “Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead.”
