⁸ Their children are established in their presence
    and their offspring before their eyes.^(A)

⁶ Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
    and the glory of children is their parents.^(A)

¹⁴ from mortals—by your hand, O Lord—
    from mortals whose portion in life is in this world.
May their bellies be filled with what you have stored up for them;
    may their children have more than enough;
    may they leave something over to their little ones.^(A)

²⁸ The possessions of their house will be carried away,
    dragged off in the day of God’s^[a] wrath.^(A)

¹⁰ Their children will seek the favor of the poor,
    and their hands will give back their wealth.^(A)

¹⁹ They have no offspring or descendant among their people
    and no survivor where they used to live.^(A)

³ I have seen fools taking root,
    but suddenly I cursed their dwelling.^(A)
4 Their children are far from safety,
    they are crushed in the gate,
    and there is no one to deliver them.^(B)
