17 “How often is the lamp of the wicked put out?
How often does their destruction come upon them,
The sorrows God (A)distributes in His anger?
18 (B)They are like straw before the wind,
And like chaff that a storm [a]carries away.
19 They say, ‘God [b]lays up [c]one’s iniquity (C)for his children’;
Let Him recompense him, that he may know it.
20 Let his eyes see his destruction,
And (D)let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

7 But (A)God is the Judge:
(B)He puts down one,
And exalts another.
8 For (C)in the hand of the Lord there is a cup,
And the wine is red;
It is fully mixed, and He pours it out;
Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth
Drain and drink down.
9 But I will declare forever,
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 “All(D) the [a]horns of the wicked I will also cut off,
But (E)the horns of the righteous shall be (F)exalted.”
