¹² His ^(A)troops come on together;
    they have ^(B)cast up their siege ramp^[a] against me
    and encamp around my tent.

¹² On my ^(A)right hand the rabble rise;
    they push away my feet;
    they ^(B)cast up against me their ways of destruction.

¹³     his ^(A)archers surround me.
He slashes open my kidneys ^(B)and does not spare;
    he ^(C)pours out my gall on the ground.

^23 (A)and I will put it into the hand of your tormentors,
    ^(B)who have said to you,
    ‘Bow down, that we may pass over’;
and ^(C)you have made your back like the ground
    and like the street for them to pass over.”

⁵ Woe to Assyria, ^(A)the rod of my anger;
    the staff in their hands is my fury!
⁶ Against a ^(B)godless nation I send him,
    and against the people of my wrath I command him,
to take ^(C)spoil and seize plunder,
    and to ^(D)tread them down like the mire of the streets.

¹¹ God gives me up to the ungodly
    and casts me into the hands of the wicked.
