12-13 Herren svarade Satan: Du får göra vad du vill med hans rikedomar, men Job själv får du inte komma vid.Satan lämnade Herren, och mycket riktigt, inte långt därefter, när Jobs söner och döttrar festade i den äldste broderns hus, hände det.

11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has,(A) and he will surely curse you to your face.”(B)
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has(C) is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”(D)
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters(E) were feasting(F) and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house,
