10 ¿Acaso no están bajo tu protección él y su familia y todas sus posesiones? De tal modo has bendecido la obra de sus manos que sus rebaños y ganados llenan toda la tierra. 11 Pero extiende la mano y quítale todo lo que posee, ¡a ver si no te maldice en tu propia cara!

12 ―Muy bien —le contestó el Señor—. Todas sus posesiones están en tus manos, con la condición de que a él no le pongas la mano encima.

Dicho esto, Satanás se retiró de la presencia del Señor.

10 (A)Have You not [a]made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? (B)You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 (C)But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely (D)curse[b] You to Your face!”

12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your [c]power; only do not lay a hand on his person.

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
