²⁴And they have not said in their heart: let us fear the Lord our God, who giveth us the early and the latter rain in due season: who preserveth for us the fullness of the yearly harvest.

²⁵Your iniquities have turned these things away, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

²⁶For among my people are found wicked men, that lie in wait as fowlers, setting snares and traps to catch men.

    ‘Let us fear^(A) the Lord our God,
who gives autumn and spring rains^(B) in season,
    who assures us of the regular weeks of harvest.’^(C)
²⁵Your wrongdoings have kept these away;
    your sins have deprived you of good.^(D)

²⁶“Among my people are the wicked^(E)
who lie in wait^(F) like men who snare birds
