2 But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land would obey the Words of the LORD which He spoke by the ministry of the Prophet Jeremiah.
3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah the Priest, to the Prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to the LORD our God for us.”
4 Now Jeremiah went in and out among the people, for they had not put him in prison.

New International Version
2 Neither he nor his attendants nor the people of the land paid any attention(A) to the words the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah the prophet.
3 King Zedekiah, however, sent(B) Jehukal(C) son of Shelemiah with the priest Zephaniah(D) son of Maaseiah to Jeremiah the prophet with this message: “Please pray(E) to the Lord our God for us.”
4 Now Jeremiah was free to come and go among the people, for he had not yet been put in prison.(F)
