Jeremiah 32:2-4

2 At that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem. Jeremiah the prophet was confined in the courtyard of the guard in the palace of the king of Judah. 3 Zedekiah king of Judah had confined him there.
Zedekiah had said, “Why do you prophesy and say that the Lord says that he will certainly give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and that he will capture it? 4 Why do you say that Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape from the hand of the Chaldeans, but will surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and that he will speak with him face-to-face and see him eye-to-eye?

New International Version
2 The army of the king of Babylon was then besieging(A) Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was confined(B) in the courtyard of the guard(C) in the royal palace of Judah.
3 Now Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him there, saying, “Why do you prophesy(D) as you do? You say, ‘This is what the Lord says: I am about to give this city into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will capture(E) it. 4 Zedekiah(F) king of Judah will not escape(G) the Babylonians[a](H) but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.
