Jeremiah 31:2-4
New King James Version
2 Thus says the Lord:
“The people who survived the sword
Found grace in the wilderness—
Israel, when (A)I went to give him rest.”
3 The Lord has appeared [a]of old to me, saying:
“Yes, (B)I have loved you with (C)an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have (D)drawn you.
4 Again (E)I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your (F)tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.

3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

    found grace in the wilderness;
(A)when Israel sought for rest,
3     the Lord appeared to him[a] from far away.
(B)I have loved you with an everlasting love;
    therefore (C)I have continued (D)my faithfulness to you.
4 (E)Again I will build you, and you shall be built,
    O virgin Israel!
(F)Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines
    and shall go forth in (G)the dance of the merrymakers.
