Jeremiah 3:8-9

⁸ And I saw that for all the ^[a]adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and ^(A)given her a certificate of divorce, yet her ^(B)treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and prostituted herself also. ⁹ And because of the thoughtlessness of her prostitution, she ^(C)defiled the land and committed ^[b]adultery with ^(D)stones and trees.
