⁵ ‘Look, the days are coming’^(A) – this is the Lord’s declaration –
‘when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David.^(B)
He will reign wisely as king
and administer justice and righteousness in the land.^(C)

⁹ They will serve the Lord their God
and David their king,
whom I will raise up for them.^(A)

⁹ Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem!
Look, your King is coming to you;
he is righteous and victorious,^[a]
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.^(A)

³⁸ Blessed is the King^(A) who comes
in the name of the Lord.^[a](B)
Peace in heaven
and glory^(C) in the highest heaven!^(D)
