And pour out their blood
By the force of the sword;
Let their wives become widows
And ^(B)bereaved of their children.
Let their men be put to death,
Their young men be slain
By the sword in battle.

¹² Though they bring up their children,
Yet I will bereave them to the last man.
Yes, ^(A)woe to them when I depart from them!
¹³ Just ^(B)as I saw Ephraim like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place,
So Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.”
