18 And first I will repay (A)double for their iniquity and their sin, because (B)they have defiled My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols.”

19 O Lord, (C)my strength and my fortress,
(D)My refuge in the day of affliction,
The Gentiles shall come to You
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Surely our fathers have inherited lies,
Worthlessness and (E)unprofitable things.”
20 Will a man make gods for himself,
(F)Which are not gods?

19 (C)O Lord, my strength and my stronghold,
    (D)my refuge in the day of trouble,
(E)to you shall the nations come
    from the ends of the earth and say:
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies,
    (F)worthless things in which there is no profit.
20 Can man make for himself (G)gods?
    Such are not gods!”
