²² therefore, this is what the Lord of armies says: “Behold, I am going to ^(A)punish them! The ^(B)young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine;

²⁷ Behold, I am watching over them ^(A)for harm and not for good, and ^(B)all the people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt will ^[a]meet their end by the sword or by famine until they ^[b]are completely gone. ^28 (C)Those who escape the sword will return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah ^[c](D)few in number. Then all the remnant of Judah who have gone to the land of Egypt to reside there will know ^(E)whose word will stand, Mine or theirs.
