9 El profeta que profetizó de paz, cuando sobreviniere la palabra del profeta, será conocido el profeta que Jehová en verdad lo envió.
10 Entonces Hananías profeta quitó el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, y quebrólo,
11 Y habló Hananías en presencia de todo el pueblo, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová: De esta manera quebraré el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todas las gentes dentro de dos años de días. Y fuése Jeremías su camino.

9 Pero a un profeta que anuncia paz se le reconoce como profeta verdaderamente enviado por el Señor solo si se cumplen sus palabras.
10 Entonces el profeta Jananías tomó el yugo que estaba sobre el cuello del profeta Jeremías y lo quebró. 11 Y dijo en presencia de todo el pueblo:
—Así dice el Señor: “De esta manera voy a quebrar, dentro de dos años, el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, que pesa sobre el cuello de todas las naciones”.
El profeta Jeremías, por su parte, optó por seguir su camino.

9 And the Prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the Prophet shall come to pass, then shall the Prophet be known that the Lord hath truly sent him.
10 Then Hananiah the Prophet took the yoke from the Prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and [a]brake it.
11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babel, from the neck of all nations within the space of two years: and the Prophet Jeremiah went his way.

- Jeremiah 28:10 This declareth the impudence of the wicked hirelings, which have no zeal to the truth, but are led with ambition to get the favor of men, and therefore cannot abide any that might discredit them but burst forth into rages and contrary to their own conscience, pass not what lies they report or how wickedly they do, so that they may maintain their estimation.
