Jeremiah 6:4-6
English Standard Version
4 (A)“Prepare war against her;
arise, and let us attack (B)at noon!
Woe to us, for the day declines,
for the shadows of evening lengthen!
5 Arise, and let us attack by night
and destroy her palaces!”
6 For thus says the Lord of hosts:
(C)“Cut down her trees;
(D)cast up a siege mound against Jerusalem.
This is the city that must be (E)punished;
there is nothing but oppression within her.
Jeremiah 6:4-6
New American Standard Bible
4 ‘[a](A)Prepare for war against her;
Arise, and let’s [b]attack at (B)noon.
Woe to us, for the day declines,
For the shadows of the evening lengthen!
5 Arise, and let’s [c]attack by night
And (C)destroy her [d]palaces!’”
6 For this is what the Lord of armies says:
“(D)Cut down her trees
And pile up an (E)assault ramp against Jerusalem.
This is the city to be punished,
In whose midst there is only (F)oppression.
