¹⁰ As for me, I will dwell at ^(A)Mizpah, to represent you before the Chaldeans who will come to us. But as for you, ^(B)gather wine and summer fruits and oil, and store them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that you have taken.”

^12 (A)then all the Judeans returned from all the places to which they had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah at Mizpah. And they ^(B)gathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.

¹⁰ Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, ^(A)left in the land of Judah some of the poor people who owned nothing, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

¹⁹ therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall never lack a man ^(A)to stand before me.”

David and Ziba

16 When David had passed a little beyond ^(A)the summit, ^(B)Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, bearing two hundred loaves of bread, ^(C)a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a skin of wine.

^38 (A)Joshua the son of Nun, ^(B)who stands before you, he shall enter. ^(C)Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

³⁶ But ^(A)stay awake at all times, ^(B)praying that you may ^(C)have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and ^(D)to stand before the Son of Man.”
