¹⁹ And Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah, “I am afraid of the Jews who have ^(A)defected to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they ^(B)abuse me.”

⁴² Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but ^(A)because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;

¹² From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Jews cried out, saying, “If you let this Man go, you are not Caesar’s friend. ^(A)Whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.”

^13 (B)When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus out and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called The Pavement, but in Hebrew, Gabbatha.

²² ‘Now behold, all the ^(A)women who are left in the king of Judah’s house shall be surrendered to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women shall say:

^9 (A)Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive to Babylon the remnant of the people who remained in the city and those who ^(B)defected to him, with the rest of the people who remained.

^4 (A)Then Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest ^(B)these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and ^[a]abuse me.”

But his armorbearer would not, ^(C)for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and ^(D)fell on it.
