³³ Should He repay it according to your terms,
Just because you disavow it?
You must choose, and not I;
Therefore speak what you know.

^35 (A)All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing;
^(B)He does according to His will in the army of heaven
And among the inhabitants of the earth.
^(C)No one can restrain His hand
Or say to Him, ^(D)“What have You done?”

²⁹ And the land will tremble and sorrow;
For every ^(A)purpose of the Lord shall be performed against Babylon,
^(B)To make the land of Babylon a desolation without inhabitant.

²⁸ For this ^(A)shall the earth mourn,
And ^(B)the heavens above be black,
Because I have spoken.
I have ^(C)purposed and ^(D)will not relent,
Nor will I turn back from it.

^10 (A)Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ^(B)‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
¹¹ Calling a bird of prey ^(C)from the east,
The man ^(D)who executes My counsel, from a far country.
Indeed ^(E)I have spoken it;
I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it;
I will also do it.
