^17 (A)I will scatter them ^(B)as with an east wind before the enemy;
^(C)I will ^[a]show them the back and not the face
In the day of their calamity.”

²⁷ Saying to a tree, ‘You are my father,’
And to a ^(A)stone, ‘You gave birth to me.’
For they have turned their back to Me, and not their face.
But in the time of their ^(B)trouble
They will say, ‘Arise and save us.’

⁷ As when You break the ^(A)ships of Tarshish
With an east wind.

²¹ The east wind carries him away, and he is gone;
It sweeps him out of his place.

²¹ Also her mercenaries are in her midst like ^[a]fat bulls,
For they also are turned back,
They have fled away together.
They did not stand,
For ^(A)the day of their calamity had come upon them,
The time of their punishment.

²⁵ Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways,
Do not stray into her paths;
²⁶ For she has cast down many wounded,
And ^(A)all who were slain by her were strong men.
