1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one ^(A)of the priests who were in ^(B)Anathoth in the land of Benjamin,

³ the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel ^(A)the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by ^(B)the Chebar canal, and ^(C)the hand of the Lord was upon him there.

⁷ Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle will come to you and say, ^(A)‘Buy my field that is at ^(B)Anathoth, ^(C)for the right of redemption by purchase is yours.’ ⁸ Then Hanamel my cousin came to me in ^(D)the court of the guard, in accordance with the word of the Lord, and said to me, ‘Buy my field that is at ^(E)Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession and redemption is yours; buy it for yourself.’ Then I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

⁹ “And I bought the field at ^(F)Anathoth from Hanamel my cousin, and ^(G)weighed out the money to him, seventeen shekels of silver.

²¹ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of ^(A)Anathoth, ^(B)who seek your life, and say, ^(C)“Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, or you will die by our hand”—

²¹ to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had ^(A)enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days that it lay desolate ^(B)it kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

⁶⁰ and from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon,^[a] Geba with its pasturelands, Alemeth with its pasturelands, and Anathoth with its pasturelands. All their cities throughout their clans were thirteen.

Amos Accused

¹⁰ Then Amaziah ^(A)the priest of Bethel sent to ^(B)Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has ^(C)conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.
