James 3:2-6

2 For (A)we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, (B)he is a perfect man, (C)able also to bridle his whole body. 3 If we put (D)bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. 4 Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So also the tongue is a small member, yet (E)it boasts of great things.
How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 6 And (F)the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, (G)staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life,[a] and set on fire by hell.[b]

Jesus Before Pilate
11 (A)Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you (B)the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, (C)“You have said so.” 12 (D)But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer. 13 Then Pilate said to him, (E)“Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?” 14 But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
