Izaija 53:6-8

6 Svi smo zalutali kao ovce,
svatko je išao svojim putem.
A BOG je svu našu krivnju
natovario na njega.
7 Zlostavljali su ga i mučili,
ali on nije otvorio svoja usta.
Kao što janje vode na klanje
i kao što je ovca nijema
pred onima koji je šišaju,
on nije pustio glasa.
8 Nakon nepoštenog suđenja,
odveli su ga.
Tko je znao što će biti s njim?
Iz zemlje živih je uklonjen.
Za grijehe svoga naroda,
do smrti je prebijen.[a]

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet (A)He opened not His mouth;
(B)He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

And who will declare His generation?

For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
