⁵Ang sabi pa ng isa sa kanila, ‘Lumayo kayo!
    Huwag kayong lalapit sapagkat mas malinis ako sa inyo.’
Ang mga taong ito'y parang usok sa aking ilong,
    tulad ng apoy na nagniningas sa buong maghapon.
⁶Tingnan ninyo! Lahat ay naisulat na sa aking harapan.
    Hindi ako maaaring tumahimik.
Ngunit paparusahan ko ang kanilang mga kasalanan; pagbabayarin ko sila,
⁷    sa kanilang kasalanan at sa kasalanan ng kanilang mga ninuno.
Nagsusunog sila ng insenso sa kabundukan
    at ako'y sinusuway nila sa kaburulan.
Karapat-dapat na parusa ang igagawad ko sa kanilang mga gawa.

⁵^(A)Who say, ‘Keep to yourself,
Do not come near me,
For I am holier than you!’
These ^[a]are smoke in My nostrils,
A fire that burns all the day.

⁶“Behold, ^(B)it is written before Me:
^(C)I will not keep silence, ^(D)but will repay—
Even repay into their bosom—
⁷Your iniquities and ^(E)the iniquities of your fathers together,”
Says the Lord,
^(F)“Who have burned incense on the mountains
^(G)And blasphemed Me on the hills;
Therefore I will measure their former work into their bosom.”

⁵who say, ‘Keep away; don’t come near me,
for I am too sacred^(A) for you!’
Such people are smoke^(B) in my nostrils,
a fire that keeps burning all day.

⁶“See, it stands written before me:
    I will not keep silent^(C) but will pay back^(D) in full;
    I will pay it back into their laps^(E)—
⁷both your sins^(F) and the sins of your ancestors,”^(G)
    says the Lord.
“Because they burned sacrifices on the mountains
    and defied me on the hills,^(H)
I will measure into their laps
    the full payment^(I) for their former deeds.”
