Legacy Standard Bible
20 To the [a](A)law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because (B)they have no dawn. 21 And they will pass through [b]the land (C)hard-pressed and hungry, and it will be that when they are hungry, they will be angry and curse [c]their king and their God as they face upward. 22 Then they will (D)look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be (E)banished into thick darkness.

Legacy Standard Bible
10 For Yahweh has poured over you a spirit of deep (A)sleep;
He has (B)shut your eyes, the prophets;
And He has covered your heads, the seers.
11 The entire vision will be to you like the words of a sealed [a](C)book, which when they give it to the one who [b]is literate, saying, “Please read this,” he will say, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12 Then the [c]book will be given to the one who [d]does not know how to read a book, saying, “Please read this.” And he will say, “I [e]do not know how to read a book.”
