² Why is Your apparel red,
And Your garments like the one who ^(A)treads in the wine press?
³ “^(B)I have trodden the wine trough alone,
And from the peoples there was no man with Me.
I also ^(C)trod them in My anger
And ^(D)trampled them in My wrath;
And ^(E)their ^[a]lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments,
And I ^[b]stained all My raiment.
⁴ “For the ^(F)day of vengeance was in My heart,
And My year of redemption has come.
⁵ “I looked, and there was ^(G)no one to help,
And I was astonished and there was no one to uphold;
So My ^(H)own arm brought salvation to Me,
And My wrath upheld Me.
⁶ “I ^(I)trod down the peoples in My anger
And made them ^(J)drunk in My wrath,
And I ^[c]poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”

⁶ “I will also make the land drink the discharge of your ^(A)blood
As far as the mountains,
And the ravines will be full of you.
