Isaiah 62:5-7
International Children’s Bible

5 As a young man marries a woman,
    so your children will marry your land.
As a man is very happy about his new wife,
    so your God will be happy with you.

6 Jerusalem, I have put guards on the walls to watch.
    They must not be silent day or night.
You people who remind the Lord
    should never be quiet.
7 You should not stop praying to the Lord until he builds up Jerusalem.
    Don’t stop until he makes Jerusalem a city all people will praise.

New International Version

5 As a young man marries a young woman,
    so will your Builder marry you;
as a bridegroom(A) rejoices over his bride,
    so will your God rejoice(B) over you.

6 I have posted watchmen(C) on your walls, Jerusalem;
    they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the Lord,
    give yourselves no rest,(D)
7 and give him no rest(E) till he establishes Jerusalem
    and makes her the praise(F) of the earth.
