8 Qui sont ceux-là qui viennent ╵volant comme un nuage,
ou comme des colombes ╵qui regagnent leur colombier ?
9 Les habitants des îles ╵et des régions côtières ╵mettront leur espérance en moi,
les vaisseaux au long cours[a] ╵viendront les tout premiers
pour ramener tes fils de loin
avec leur argent et leur or
pour faire honneur ╵à l’Eternel, ton Dieu,
et au Saint d’Israël ╵qui te fait resplendir.
10 Les étrangers ╵rebâtiront tes murs,
leurs rois te serviront.
Car je t’avais frappée ╵dans mon indignation,
mais maintenant dans ma faveur ╵je te témoigne ma tendresse.

9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
