Isaiah 55:2-4
English Standard Version
2 (A)Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me;
(B)hear, that your soul may live;
(C)and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
(D)my steadfast, sure love for (E)David.
4 (F)Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples,
(G)a leader and commander for the peoples.

And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and (B)eat what is good,
And (C)delight yourself in abundance.
3 (D)Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that [b]you may (E)live;
And I will make (F)an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the (G)faithful mercies [c]shown to David.
4 Behold, I have made (H)him a witness to the peoples,

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
