Isaiah 44:10-12

¹⁰Who makes a god or ·shapes [casts; molds] an idol
    that can do nothing for him?
¹¹[^LLook; ^TBehold] ·The workmen who made them [^LAll his compansions] will be ·ashamed [put to shame],
    because ·they [^Lthe craftsmen] are only human.
If they all would come together to stand against me,
    they would all be ·afraid [terrified] and ·ashamed [put to shame].

¹²One ·workman [blacksmith] uses tools to heat iron,
    and he works over hot coals.
With his hammer he beats the metal and makes a statue,
    using his powerful arms.
But when he becomes hungry, he loses his ·power [strength].
    If he does not drink water, he becomes tired.

¹⁰Who shapes a god and casts an idol,^(A)
    which can profit nothing?^(B)
¹¹People who do that will be put to shame;^(C)
    such craftsmen are only human beings.
Let them all come together and take their stand;
    they will be brought down to terror and shame.^(D)

¹²The blacksmith^(E) takes a tool
    and works with it in the coals;
he shapes an idol with hammers,
    he forges it with the might of his arm.^(F)
He gets hungry and loses his strength;
    he drinks no water and grows faint.^(G)

Let them all be gathered together,
Let them stand up;
Yet they shall fear,

Fashions it with hammers,
