Isaiah 37:25-27
American Standard Version
25 I have digged and drunk water, and with the sole of my feet will I dry up all the rivers of [a]Egypt.
26 Hast thou not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? now have I brought it to pass, that it should be thine to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps. 27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as [b]a field of grain before it is grown up.

Isaiah 37:25-27
King James Version
25 I have digged, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.
26 Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps.
27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

Isaiah 37:25-27
New King James Version
25 I have dug and drunk water,
And with the soles of my feet I have dried up
All the brooks of [a]defense.’
26 “Did you not hear (A)long ago
How I made it,
From ancient times that I formed it?
Now I have brought it to pass,
That you should be
For crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins.
27 Therefore their inhabitants had little power;
They were dismayed and confounded;
They were as the grass of the field
And the green herb,
As the grass on the housetops
And grain blighted before it is grown.

I planned from days of old

that you should make fortified cities
crash into heaps of ruins,

are dismayed and confounded,
and have become like plants of the field
and like tender grass,
like grass on the housetops,
blighted[a] before it is grown.
