Isaiah 22:13-15

13 But look: joy and gladness,
butchering of cattle, slaughtering of sheep,
eating of meat, and drinking of wine—
“Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”(A)
14 The Lord of Hosts has directly revealed to me:(B)
“This sin of yours will never[a] be wiped out.”(C)
The Lord God of Hosts has spoken.
An Oracle against Shebna
15 The Lord God of Hosts said: “Go to Shebna,(D) that steward who is in charge of the palace, and say to him:

“Surely for this iniquity there (D)will be no atonement for you,
Even to your death,” says the Lord God of hosts.

15 Thus says the Lord God of hosts:
“Go, proceed to this steward,
To (E)Shebna, who is over the house, and say:
