Isaiah 19:10-12

New American Standard Bible

¹⁰And ^[a]the ^(A)pillars of Egypt will be crushed;
All the hired laborers will be grieved in soul.

¹¹The officials of ^[b]^(B)Zoan are mere fools;
The advice of Pharaoh’s wisest advisers has become ^[c]stupid.
How can you say to Pharaoh,
“I am a son of the ^(C)wise, a son of ancient kings”?
¹²Well then, where are your wise men?
Please let them tell you,
And let them ^[d]understand what the Lord of armies
Has ^(D)planned against Egypt.

and all the wage earners will be sick at heart.

¹¹The officials of Zoan^(A) are nothing but fools;
    the wise counselors^(B) of Pharaoh give senseless advice.^(C)
How can you say to Pharaoh,
    “I am one of the wise men,^(D)
    a disciple of the ancient kings”?
