⁵ They are coming from a far land,
from the distant horizon—
the Lord and the weapons of His wrath—
to destroy the whole country.^[a]

¹⁰ But Yahweh is the true God;^(A)
He is the living God^(B) and eternal King.^(C)
The earth quakes at His wrath,^(D)
and the nations cannot endure His rage.

¹³ Because of the Lord’s wrath,
she will not be inhabited;
she will become a desolation, every bit of her.
Everyone who passes through Babylon
will be horrified
and scoff because of all her wounds.^(A)
