¹⁰ Indeed, the stars of the sky and its constellations^[a]
will not give their light.
The sun will be dark when it rises,
and the moon will not shine.^(A)

⁴ All^[a] the heavenly bodies^(A) will dissolve.
The skies will roll up like a scroll,^(B)
and their stars will all wither
as leaves wither on the vine,
and foliage on the fig tree.^(C)

³¹ The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood^(A)
before the great and awe-inspiring Day of the Lord comes.^(B)

¹⁵ The sun and moon will grow dark,
and the stars will cease their shining.^(A)
