Isaiah 9:6-7
New International Version
6 For to us a child is born,(A)
to us a son is given,(B)
and the government(C) will be on his shoulders.(D)
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor,(E) Mighty God,(F)
Everlasting(G) Father,(H) Prince of Peace.(I)
7 Of the greatness of his government(J) and peace(K)
there will be no end.(L)
He will reign(M) on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice(N) and righteousness(O)
from that time on and forever.(P)
The zeal(Q) of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

I will give people in exchange for you,
nations in exchange for your life.

6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
and to the south,(O) ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar

whom I formed and made.(U)”
8 Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,(V)
who have ears but are deaf.(W)
9 All the nations gather together(X)
and the peoples assemble.
Which of their gods foretold(Y) this
and proclaimed to us the former things?
Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
so that others may hear and say, “It is true.”
10 “You are my witnesses,(Z)” declares the Lord,
“and my servant(AA) whom I have chosen,
so that you may know(AB) and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god(AC) was formed,
nor will there be one after me.(AD)
11 I, even I, am the Lord,(AE)
and apart from me there is no savior.(AF)
