¹⁹ No one considers, nor is there knowledge or discernment to say, “Half of it I burned in the fire; I also baked bread on its coals; I roasted meat and have eaten. And shall I make the rest of it an ^(A)abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?”

^15 (A)“‘Cursed be the man who makes a carved or cast metal image, an abomination to the Lord, a thing made by the hands of a craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ ^(B)And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

⁷ Then Solomon built a high place for ^(A)Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for ^(B)Molech the abomination of the Ammonites, on the mountain east of Jerusalem.

⁵ For Solomon went after ^(A)Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after ^(B)Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

⁴ And the man said to me, ^(A)“Son of man, ^(B)look with your eyes, and ^(C)hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you. ^(D)Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

¹³ And the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, to the south of ^(A)the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for ^(B)Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for ^(C)Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for ^(D)Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
