⁹ “For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild donkey, alone by himself. Ephraim has hired lovers.

¹⁰ “Yet, although they have hired among the nations, I will now gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king and the princes.

¹¹ “Because Ephraim has made many altars for sin, his altars shall be for sin.
