⁶ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.^(A)
Because you have rejected knowledge,^(B)
I will reject you^(C) from serving as My priest.
Since you have forgotten the law of your God,^(D)
I will also forget your sons.

¹¹ Promiscuity,^(A) wine, and new wine
take away one’s understanding.^(B)

¹⁴ I will not punish your daughters
when they act promiscuously
or your daughters-in-law
when they commit adultery,
for the men themselves go off with prostitutes^(A)
and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes.^(B)
People without discernment are doomed.^(C)

⁴ Their actions do not allow them
to return to their God,^(A)
for a spirit of promiscuity is among them,^(B)
and they do not know the Lord.^(C)
