“They ^[a]assemble together for grain and new ^(B)wine,
^[b]They rebel against Me;

⁹ “Because^(A) of the multitude of oppressions they cry out;
They cry out for help because of the arm of the mighty.
¹⁰ But no one says, ^(B)‘Where is God my Maker,
^(C)Who gives songs in the night,

^(A)“Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths
And honor Me ^(B)with their lips,
But have removed their hearts far from Me,
And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

^34 (A)When He slew them, then they sought Him;
And they returned and sought earnestly for God.
³⁵ Then they remembered that ^(B)God was their rock,
And the Most High God ^(C)their Redeemer.
³⁶ Nevertheless they ^(D)flattered Him with their mouth,
And they lied to Him with their tongue;
³⁷ For their heart was not steadfast with Him,
Nor were they faithful in His covenant.
