3 Tada mi je BOG opet rekao: »Tvoja žena ima ljubavnika i nije ti vjerna. Ali ti joj ponovo iskaži ljubav. Isto tako BOG voli narod Izraela iako se okreću drugim bogovima i vole kolače s grožđicama[a].«
2 I tako sam je otkupio za sebe po cijeni od petnaest srebrnjaka[b] i još sto pedeset kilograma[c] ječma. 3 Rekao sam joj: »Sada ćeš ostati sa mnom. Prestani se ponašati kao prostitutka! Dugo vremena ne smiješ imati seksualne odnose ni sa kim, niti sa mnom.«

Hosea’s Reconciliation With His Wife
3 The Lord said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress.(A) Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.(B)”
2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels[a] of silver and about a homer and a lethek[b] of barley. 3 Then I told her, “You are to live with me many days; you must not be a prostitute or be intimate with any man, and I will behave the same way toward you.”

3 And the Lord said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is beloved of a paramour and is an adulteress; even as the Lord loves the people of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love cakes of raisins.” 2 So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a lethech of barley. 3 And I said to her, “You must dwell as mine for many days; you shall not play the harlot, or belong to another man; so will I also be to you.”
