Hebrews 9:8-10

⁸^(A)The Holy Spirit is signifying this, ^(B)that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the ^[a]outer tabernacle is still standing, ⁹which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly ^(C)both gifts and sacrifices are offered which ^(D)cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, ¹⁰since they relate only to ^(E)food, ^(F)drink, and various ^(G)washings, ^(H)regulations for the ^[b]body imposed until ^(I)a time of reformation.

⁹Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

¹⁰Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
