6 Femeia a văzut că pomul era bun de mâncat şi plăcut de privit şi că pomul era de dorit ca să deschidă cuiva mintea. A luat deci din rodul lui şi a mâncat(A); a dat şi bărbatului ei, care era lângă ea, şi bărbatul(B) a mâncat şi el.

7 Atunci li s-au deschis(C) ochii la amândoi; au cunoscut(D) că erau goi, au cusut laolaltă frunze de smochin şi şi-au făcut şorţuri[a] din ele. 8 Atunci au auzit glasul(E) Domnului Dumnezeu, care umbla prin grădină în răcoarea zilei[b], şi omul şi nevasta lui s-au ascuns(F) de Faţa Domnului Dumnezeu printre pomii din grădină.

New International Version
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable(A) for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband,(B) who was with her, and he ate it.(C) 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;(D) so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.(E)
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking(F) in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid(G) from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
