² Of every ^[a]clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: but of unclean beasts by couples, the male and his female.

³ Of the fowls also of the heaven by sevens, male and female, to keep seed alive upon the whole earth.

⁴ For seven days hence I will cause it rain upon the earth forty days, and forty nights, and all the substance that I have made, will I destroy from off the earth.
