8 and all those of the house of Joseph, and his brothers, and those of his father’s house. They left only their little ones and their flocks and cattle in the land of Goshen. 9 Wagons and men on horses went with him also. It was a very large group of people.
10 They came to the grain-floor of Atad on the other side of the Jordan. There they cried with much sorrow. Joseph cried in sorrow for his father for seven days.

8 besides all the members of Joseph’s household and his brothers and those belonging to his father’s household.(A) Only their children and their flocks and herds were left in Goshen.(B) 9 Chariots(C) and horsemen[a] also went up with him. It was a very large company.
10 When they reached the threshing floor(D) of Atad, near the Jordan, they lamented loudly and bitterly;(E) and there Joseph observed a seven-day period(F) of mourning(G) for his father.(H)
